Icebreaker Merino underwear and Merino clothing
Icebreaker
The New Zealand brand Icebreaker was founded in 1995 by Jeremy Moon. With his vision "Born in Nature - Worn in Nature", Jeremy not only laid the foundation for Icebreaker, but also for the first industrial production of functional clothing made of merino wool and is therefore considered a pioneer of merino sportswear today. From the very beginning, Icebreaker's intention was to get people to think consciously about what they wear on their bodies and to move away from the omnipresent "plastic drug", as Jeremy calls it.
Icebreaker also sets standards with regard to controlled, species-appropriate sheep farming (RWS or ZQRX standard) and has been making the entire production process from sheep to finished product public every year since 2017 with the Transparency Report.
