Our offer is intended to provide you with the best selection of wool sportswear.

Wool not only has outstanding climatic properties, but in addition to being odorless, it also offers one thing above all - comfort. Like a crackling fire compared to a standard heater, wool offers a more natural warmth.

But it is not only good at keeping you warm, it can also regulate heat. The proof of this is provided by the friendly animals (I even raised one myself with a bottle as a hobby shepherd) from which this renewable raw material comes. They feel comfortable in their wool in both summer and winter. It just feels good to wear pure nature on your skin.

Since sustainability is very important to me personally, I pay attention to responsible manufacturing when selecting products, such as the Swisswool series from Ortovox, which was produced entirely in Europe.

Before founding the Merino Store in 2012, I was able to help develop some products in the Ortovox collection, which I can therefore highly recommend. Based on my many years of experience in the sporting goods industry, I have noticed that two camps have formed when it comes to the topic of merino or synthetic. Many people who have tried merino underwear, for example, swear by it.

However, synthetics are still far too dominant in traditional retail. We are closing this gap with the largest selection of sportswear made from merino and other wool.

From our headquarters near Munich, we have a close eye on the mountain landscape, which has inspired us to focus on the following topics in our shop:
