The Aclima Double Wool Balaclava consists of two connected layers of merino wool, which together have a material thickness of 320g/m² and provide extreme warmth. The balaclava was developed for expeditions and temperatures below zero. The inside uses a mesh-like fabric to create additional warmth and at the same time quickly wick moisture away to the outside, as the larger surface on the inside increases the capillary effect (suction effect to the outside). The outside, on the other hand, is smooth so that snow does not get caught so easily. The mouthpiece is made entirely of merino mesh material, which makes breathing easier and reduces condensation of breath moisture. The upper chest area is protected from penetrating cold and wind by an extension at the front.
