The Freeride Mitten from Munich-based manufacturer Ortovox provides plenty of insulation for sensitive fingers thanks to its wool filling and is at least as warm as a comparably thick down mitten. The merino wool padding (with 50% recycled wool) lays the foundation for enjoyable days in icy temperatures. The mittens, which are wind and waterproof thanks to Sympatex®, are equipped with an extra warm and soft merino lining on the inside. This, in combination with the light wool padding, ensures excellent warmth and a dry hand feeling even when exerting yourself. The goat leather reinforcements are soft but still very robust and make the mittens easy to grip even in icy conditions.
